Whatcha Reading!!

hey guys I have finally finished a new book! This one was a long read and that's why you had to wait a couple weeks for the book review.

Today's review is "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen. This book was a pretty long one, but it was still a good read. It was about a young boy Jacob who runs away to join the circus. Every couple of chapters it flips between his young self and his circus shenanigans and his elder self at a nursing home. I really enjoyed the way the book was written. It had a lot of action, yet including some romance here and there. It's ovibously not my favorite book, but I still enjoyed it. The book was intense and the ending was happy. I honestly heard about this book back in 2009 and I never wanted to read it, it looked long and unappealing. Then I got it from my friend and I was more intrigued as a 16 year old rather than a 10 year old. I picked up the book and began reading and for awhile I couldn't put it down, but then I stopped for awhile. It got slow at one point but I kept pushing through. If I would've stopped, I would've regretted it. I love this book and it's awesome, but it's also banned! Apparently this book is banned in some places and that I didn't know (it didn't stop me). Now if it's banned where you try not to get in trouble, but definitely figure out a way to read it. You won't regret it!!
Happy reading everyone! Xoxox - I don't know

Face your fear

Hey guys this isn't one of my usual posts, but Ive been thinking about a lot of things lately and this is the only place I feel safe to write. (This is in replacement of tunes Tuesday)

I've been thinking a lot about fear. Fear is something not everyone can conquer, yet fear is not impossible. Everyone is afraid of something whether it be spiders or falling in love. Everyone also reacts differently to their own fears, some never face it and some learn to live with their fear.

I believe this to be one of the hardest things of human existence, conquering your fears. It takes a lot of guts to accomplish what you're afraid of. Even I'm afraid of overcoming the things I'm scared of. I'm only a junior and I feel like sometimes I'm too afraid. Being this young I assume that I could live life without fear, this is the farest from the truth. Many people, including me, are too afraid. We don't live life in the now, we are too worried about the outcome and sometimes thats not always the best choice.

"Fear doesn't shut you down, it wakes you up." This quote isn't always true, but it should be. Our fears and anxieties shouldn't shut us down, they should wake us up. We should overcome what we all fear. These next weeks I'm going to overcome my fear of failure. I hate the idea that im not going to make it in life and grades are what gets me by. It gives me anxiety and these next few weeks I'll face my fear.

So what's your fear? Let me know in the comments and in the next few weeks try to face your fear and live life in the now.

Whatcha Reading!

I must be a quick reader because here comes Book Review #3. This time it's a fairly recent book that has hit the shelfs. It is Girl Online by Zoe Sugg. Zoe Sugg is actually a youtuber, which is even more awesome. I'm very much into the YouTube scene and it excites me that the youtubers are expanding and doing great things.
This book was amazing. I'm very proud of Zoella and it warms my heart the fact she wrote this book. The book is about a young girl named Penny she has an anonymous blog & she basically just goes through life using her blog and her best friend Elliot. It is a great story that can relate to any teen girl out there. If you have been stuck on what to read next, don't fret because now you have an option! This book is so great and I hope that all of you will go find out yourselves! I loved the ending and you will too. Happy reading everyone!! If you have any books that you want me to read and review id be happy to know! Leave me some ideas thanks guys! :)

Whatcha Reading!

Book review #2 is coming at you, right here, right now! This time the book is "This Beautiful Life" by Helen Schulman. This book is about an 8th grade boy, Jake, receiving a flashy video from a secret admirer (Daisy). He sends the video and all chaos breaks lose. It is the story of the family and Jakes struggle after the incident.

I really did enjoy this book. My friend gave it to me and at first I was put off. I'm usually the one to go for romance, but this was a nice change. The beginning is very slow and then it hits YA! So don't put the book down until you're done. It's a solid read and a quick one. I'm recommending to anyone who likes a good laugh and some suspense.

My favorite quote: "He'd lost his life when he was awake, and now his nights were worse."
