Turn the Page!

Hey guys so i have finished a couple of books lately so im going to review them all in the next couple of days..

The first book is "The Fill-In Boyfriend" by Kasie West. This an adorable book. I finished this in about 2 and 1/2 days. It is a very quick read, but a great book. A girl named Gia gets dumped on the night of prom but needs to prove to her friends her bf did actually exist. So she sees a random guy and pulls him from the crowd and gets him to play along. Now who does she like the real bf or the actor bf?!?

FAVORITE CHARACTER: HAYDEN!! he is the fake bf in the book and i love him. I wish i knew him in real life. He seems so sweet and genuinely nice. He makes me melt inside <3

Favorite quotes: "I was worried that no matter how much confidence I'd shown on the outside, deep down people didnt like me. And that maybe they were right not to."

"The seen, the known, dissolve in iridescence, become illusive flesh of light that was not, was, forever is."

"How would other people know who i was when i didnt even know that?"

"You dont seem to have a problem laughing. Youre good at putting on that face. Its whats behind the smile that i wonder about. You dont have to be perfect all the time."

"Isnt that part of being a teenager? Discovering who we are? Who we want to be?"

"I never wanted anyone to have this much power over my emotions again. It was safer to keep to myself, to keep things on the surface. Things ended better that way."

Summer Must Haves!

Hey guys, so i know ive been doing a lot of book reviews recently so i thought id switch it up, because summer is right around the corner!

I know some schools are already out and summer has already begun for you, BUT for me im still in school and im still trying to plan for the summer!

For today i think everyone has summer must haves, whether itd be a vacation or a tangible item to always have with you. For me, its both and thats what im sharing with you today: MY SUMMER MUST HAVES!!

1. Friends: without these how are you going to have the best summer ever?!? Theyre the best people to create memories with, trust me! Heres some of my favorite memories of the past summers :)

2. Good Music: without music whats going to be your next summer jam? I really do believe that each summer there is one song that you listen to over and over and over again and eventually it becomes your summer song. Honestly, i have no clue what my summer song is going to be? Whats yours? Leave them in the comments!

3. A Hotspot: by this i mean somewhere you can go to just relax and chill, whether that be your bedroom, in the air conditioning or outside in your backyard. I know i love to go somewhere by myself just to get away for awhile.

4. Good Food: this is a big one for me because i looooove food. Cookouts are amazing in the summer with such good food. A definite must have for me!

5. Cute clothes: you gotta look cute when you live up the summer. With all the instagram posts you always have to be in your best attire, especially if you are trying to impress a summer love ;)

6. A Good Book: for us nerds out there we always like to read no matter what season! So keep a look out for some good reads!

7. Bonfires!! I love the smell of fires and cooking food over the fire (it tastes better). This is a must have for me, it gives me the summer feel.

8. Vacation time: if you are privileged to go anywhere, take the advantage! Itll be a fun experience that might even make your summer. Im going to Maine this summer with my family and i cant wait! Ill make sure to blog about it :)

9. A pool: without a pool how are you gonna stay cool?

AND FINALLY

10. FUN: if you dont have fun in the summer, was it really even summer? Forget about the worries about the future and whats next. My advice is to definitely live in the moment this summer. I know especially for me ill be going off to college the following summer so i wanna live it up now!

Anyway guys, thats my summer must haves and i really hope you do live up your summer!
SCHOOLS OUT, SCREAM AND SHOUT!! :)

Turn the page!

hey guys I know I know, you might have become sick of book reviews because I'm putting them out so quickly. But don't get stressed out I'm just helping you find new novels to dig into.

This review is a book called "The Geography of You and Me" by Jennifer E. Smith. This book is a romance novel (big shocker haha), but it's still cute and funny. It isn't my favorite, but I totally enjoyed it. The book is about a girl named Lucy and a boy named Owen, they get stuck in a elevator in a city wide blackout. They feel a connection, but now there both moving across the world. They have to find out if their connection is something more or just to move on. It's a very interesting storyline and a cute way to write it. I think Smith does a cute thing where some of the chapters start of by saying which each person is doing on the opposite side of the world. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a short, quick read.

FAVORITE CHARACTER: My favorite character in this one has to be Owen. I feel him throughout the story and understand what he is going through. I pull for him through the whole story and root him on. I do get annoyed at one part he does, but it was a minor detail that was overidden by his charm and humor.

Favorite quotes: "That was the thing about books, she was realizing; they could take you somewhere else entirel, it was true. But it wasn't the same thing as actually going there yourself."

"... and then it struck her as the truest form of kindness, the most basic sort of love: to be worried about the one who was worrying about you."

Turn the page!

^ new title!! (Thought I'd change it up) Hey guys I don't know what it is, but books these days are getting juicer and juicer. I've read around 3 books in less than 2 weeks they have been so good. This time the book I will be reviewing is called "The Catastrophic History of You and Me" by Jess Rothenburg.

Guys I don't think you understand how much I loved this book. I'm putting it in my top 5 best books I'm ever read and that's pretty intense cause I've read a lot of good books. If you need to read a book or are in the market for one, here it is! I have saved you because you won't regret picking this one up!
This book is so unique, it starts off with the main character, Brie, already dead! Oooo I know it's a little twisted. Brie is already dead and the whole book takes place in the afterlife and that's why I find this novel so fascinating. It is very different. She meets a boy named Patrick there and they go on adventures and Brie goes through her own 5 stages of grief even though she is the one who died. This book is so amazing I recommend it a million times over and over again. I really do think anyone would enjoy this book even if you hate romance or anything like that.

I've decided to add a new segment to book reviews..... FAVORITE CHARACTER!! I think it would be interesting for you guys to know who I loved in the book versus who you loved!
So my favorite character was Patrick! He is the boy Brie meets in the after life and he is my fav. He reminds me of myself making punny jokes and being a sassy dude. I loved him so much cause of his heart and his spice that made the novel even better.

I have a lot so here they are,
Favorite quotes:"The problem is, there is absolutely nothing 'fun' about falling in love. Nope. Mostly it just makes you feel sick and crazy and anxious and nervous that its going to end miserably and ruin your whole life. And guess what: Then it does."

"Because the moment i sat up and realized i was gone, i wouldve done anything-- no, everything-- for a second chance."

"You can obsess and obsess over how things ended-- what you did wrong or could have done differently-- but theres not much of a point. Its not like itll change anything. So really, why worry?"

"Maybe he hurt me because he was afraid id hurt him first."

"I bet, once upon a time, you made someone really, really happy."

"Love is such a complete and total crock."

"Hell is when the people you love the most reach right into your soul and rip it out of you. And they do it because they can."

"But the sort of sucky thing is, time doesnt necessarily heal all wounds."

"He took your sweet, funny, perfect heart... and he destroyed it. Why do you keep letting him do it to you over and over again?"

"But heres the secret about the big flash. it doesnt exist. nope. its actually much simpler than that. Step one: youre here. Step two: youre not. Then its lights off forever/ A scary thought, i know. Believe me, i used to be afraid of the dark."

"Life was long, but death was longer."

"Just believe me when i say, there is nothing worse in this universe than wanting someone who doesnt want you back."

"You dont know the first thing about pain or loneliness. But you will. Youll see what it feels like to have everyone in the whole world forget about you like you were never even there in the first place. Youll see what it feels like to have nobody."

"God, i was so sick of feeling. So sick of hurting."

"Love is about loving someone else more than you love yourself."

"But i suppose my main point here is that as parents, we should all be talking to our children more often about how they feel. About whats really happening in their lives. And we should be listening."

"Because i was really, really sick of being in the dark. I was really, really sick of feeling sad and lonely and like something inside of me was missing."

"I guess sometimes remembering hurts too much."

"In the midst of happiness or despair in sorrow or in joy in pleasure or in pain: Do what is right and you will be at peace. In life there is no greater gift than peace, except love. May you always have love."

Told ya :) happy reading everyone!!

Whatcha Reading!

Hey guys! I know this next book review is really soon, but this book was one of my favorites :) It is written by one of my favorite people in this world, a fellow youtuber, Connor Franta. His book is called "A Work In Progress" and is a memoir of his life so far. It might not be everyone's cup of tea because you might not want to learn about his life. But for me I loved it. I loved learning about him and how he sees the world. He is a big inspiration to me and this book is just great. It captures who he is as a person and I am so proud of him. I read this book in 2 days and if you would love for any advice for anything you are going through, this would be a great book. He goes through his struggles and his life experiences that might help you or someone you know through their own. Pick up his book aworkinprogressbyconnor.com 😊

Favorite quotes: "And by "show" I mean me talking about nothing for an extended period of time under the assumption that I am funny."

"But that's the annoying thing about childhood--and actually the rest of life: reality rarely lives up to high expectations."

"Let's visit the subject is of math for a moment-- adored by some, hated by me."

"Real Life isn't like that. It's one take, unedited, imperfect, and littered with mistakes that we must repeat until we get it right-- a truth for teenagers and adults alike."

"True friendship is counted in memories, experiences, and troubles shared; it's a bond built up over time in person, not a virtual tally on the Internet. It finds you; you don't find it."

"Know this too: Some people won't like you, and you won't like everyone. That's okay. None of that matters."

"Life should be more about living in the moment than fearing what's happening outside it."

"But isn't that what we all do in high school? Overthink things and worry about what's out of our control?"

"Don't let that suffocate your vision."

"But scars--inside and out-- are only a big deal if we choose to focus on them and ignore the good things."

"If you like you, that's all that matters. If you don't, then maybe you could work out why that is."

"Be numb to the numbers. Don't let the numbers numb you."

"Love is love-- an energy that fuses soul."

"The uncertainty-- the not knowing-- is the adventure."

"In fact, the truest lesson of them all is that our experience of suffering-- and, perhaps, our first taste of the blues or depression-- beings in high school. Be it heartbreak, bullying, anxiety, stress, or general sadness, we will all graduate high school with a diploma in tough emotions."

"Loneliness really is a state of mind."

Heres another quote that is too long to write:

Heres a picture of me meeting him :) on June 6 2014

Whatcha Reading!!

Hey guys new review coming at you!!

Today's review is about The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks (who is one of my fav authors). This book was purely amazing. The story was very different and very exciting. In this book he uses two different stories one of an old man named Ira who gets in an accident and reminisces about his life with his wife Ruth, while trying to survive. The other story is about a girl named Sophia who meets a cowboy named Luke, who happens to be a bull rider. Their story is amazing and so is Ira's.

I wanted to read this novel before i saw the movie. Now that i have read it if you happen to have seen the movie already, did you like it?? I'm very curious on how they will make the two stories relate like how they did in the book.

I recommend this to any romantics out there or anyway just looking for a good read. It has a lot of drama while still holding down on the story. Leave me some suggestions down below! Now on to the next book :) (i have a lot of fav quotes on this one).

Favorite Quotes: "I'd be lying if i told you i wasn't afraid."

"She would tell me that it was a sign that your heart was pure, that you formed deep attachments, and that once you loved something -- or someone-- you would never stop."

"Without her, i think to myself, i am already dead."

"The truth is often a terrible thing, and i wish again that i were someone else."

"I understand that love and tragedy go hand and hand, for there cant be one without the other, but nonetheless I find myself wondering whether the trade-off is fair."

"You missed their laughter and their curiosity and the innocent way they saw the world."

"Moments of circumstance, when later combined with conscious decisions and actions and a boatload of hope, can eventually forge a future that seems predestined."

"I sometimes think God has an odd sense of humor."

"It was oppressive, suffocating-- so quiet that it eventually became a roar that drowned out everything else."

"Art is a lie that makes us realize truth, at least the truth that is given us to understand."

"In other words, our opinions and our thoughts and feelings-- anything we experience-- need not define us forever."

(I warned ya i had a lot of quotes... this was a good, quotable book :))
